PROGRAMME AND ACTIVITIES
SATURDAY 6TH MAY 2017.-
SHOW OPENS ITS DOORS AT 2.00pm and closes at 10.00pm
Floral exhibits are centered close to the Palace Square. Schools’ exhibits as well as pot plants,fruit and honey exhibits are found in the greenhouses in the east part of the garden, while the tunnel beneath the piano nobile of the Palace hosts vegetables, and flowers in containers.
Bonsai exhibits adorn a small greenhouse in the western part of the garden, where information on the art of Bonsai will be disseminated to those interested in it. Works of art are centered in the loggia leading to the Russian Chapel.
The Russian Chapel is specially adorned with Flower Arrangements created by an Italian guest florist Rossella Biasiol assisted by Erman Soranzio.

5.00 pm Official opening of the Show by the Hon. Dr. Jose’ Herrera, Minister for
Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change.
5.15pm- 5.45pm Sta Marija Accordion Band, H‘Attard
7.00pm- 7.30pm Ballet Dance Academy
8.00pm-9.45pm A Modelling Fashion Contest by Teens & Kids Models [Malta]
SUNDAY 7TH MAY 2017. SHOW OPENS AT 8.00am NON STOP TILL 9.00pm
9.00 am Thanksgiving Mass offered in the Palace Chapel
8.00 am - 1.00pm Budding & Grafting of Fruit trees demonstrations by Mr. Vince Schembri near the show office.
10.00 am – 10.30 am Artemocion Art & Leisure Studio
10.45am - 11.15 am Wild Strength Dancers
11.30am Distribution of prizes to Schools and students only
12.30pm – 2.30pm Folk Music by the Gozitan Ta’ Seguna Folk Group.
3.00pm- 3.30pm Pippa Gee Dancers
5.00pm -5.30pm Ja Habibi Belly Dance School of Middle Eastern Dance
5.45pm- 6.45pm Musical programme by Socjeta Muzikali La Stella Levantina, Banda Sant Marija, H’Attard.
7.00pm Presentation of Prizes by H.E. Dr. Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, assisted by the Hon. Rodrick Galdes, Parliamentary secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights.
Various craftsmen will be showing their handcrafts and skills, in various garden paths during
Catering facilities are available in the Palace Square. The garden will be fairy lit on both days
of the show.
